Scottish Liberal Democrats will fight for a fair deal for Renfrewshire
Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Paisley & Renfrewshire South, Jack Clark, reacts as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has announced a General Election.
Liberal Democrat candidate Jack Clark will be campaigning for action to tackle the cost-of-living crisis, dependable jobs and infrastructure, and a stronger, fairer United Kingdom.
Liberal Democrats are on the up after beating the Conservatives at the May local elections and winning four stunning parliamentary by-election victories since the last General Election.
Responding to Rishi Sunak calling a General Election, Scottish Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Paisley & Renfrewshire South, Jack Clark said:
“For years our area has been let down by an out-of-touch Conservative Government in Westminster that has failed to get the basics right and lurched from crisis to crisis, and an SNP Government in Holyrood that has been blinkered by grievance. It’s time for a change.
“Prices in the shops have skyrocketed, mortgages, rents, and energy bills are unaffordable, and people across Renfrewshire feel taken for granted. People here are crying out for better, and for a fair deal in our communities.
“Every vote for the Scottish Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal. That means a local person listening to you, making sure the government-owned water company stops filling our rivers with sewage, and fighting for investment in jobs and infrastructure that people can depend on.
“I am standing for Paisley and Renfrewshire South to give people here that fair deal, and be your voice in Parliament.”
