Renfrewshire Liberal Democrats have announced Ross Stalker as their candidate for Inverclyde & Renfrewshire West in the next General Election.
The new constituency is expanded from the previous Inverclyde constituency to now take in Houston, Crosslee and Bridge of Weir from Paisley and Renfrewshire North.
Ross, who ran in Renfrewshire North and West in 2021 Scottish Parliament elections described the upcoming election as a ‘critical juncture’ and said he would fight for a fair deal for people across the constituency.
Ross Stalker, Scottish Liberal Democrat Candidate for Inverclyde & Renfrewshire West, said:
“After 13 years of Conservative government, this election is an opportunity for the change we desperately need.
“As those who followed my last election campaign will know, I have a particular interest in mental health.
"I recently experienced first-hand what can happen when government takes its eye off the ball when I was impacted by the shortage in ADHD medication.
"We need a government that cares enough to get things right for everyone.
“I want to fight for a fair deal for people across Renfrewshire. That means real action on the cost of living, real action on climate change and water pollution, and real action to clean up our politics.
“We have had 13 years of the Conservatives trashing our economy, wrecking our trading relationship with Europe, and robbing from the poor to feed the rich, as well as 16 years of the SNP mismanaging our public services.
“It’s time for change, and that means backing me as your Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate in Inverclyde & Renfrewshire West.”
